Lajos' father was Károly Asbóth and his mother was Klára Nagy (Győri).  His paternal grandparents were János Asbóth and Katalin Márczi. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Lajos, László, Károly, Dezső, Julianna, Mária, Lídia and Vilma.  He was the fifth oldest of the nine children.  He died at 1 months old on January 23rd, 1861 in Tata 559.¹
