Ferenc's father was Ferenc Asbóth and his mother was Zsuzsanna Németh.  His paternal grandparents were Ferenc Asbóth and Eszter Mesterházy. He had two brothers and three sisters, named József, Ferenc, Lídia, Eszter and Anna.  He was the third oldest of the six children.  He died at just 30 days old on June 1st, 1870 in Nagygeresd Vas vm.¹
