György's father was István Körtvélyesi and his mother was Zsófia Tóth.  His paternal grandparents were István Körtvélyesi and Mária Horváth. He had two brothers named János and István.  He was the youngest of the three children. He had a half-brother and six half-sisters, named György, Mária, Karolina, Piroska, Julianna, Julianna and Rozália.  He died at the age of 67 on October 18th, 1959 in Felpéc.³
