Anna was born on June 22nd, 1778 in Berény and her baptism took place on June 28th, 1778 in Sajtoskál Sopron vm.^1 2

Anna's father was Benedek Nagy and her mother was Mária Anna Somogyi.  Her paternal grandparents were Mihály Nagy and Judit Nádasdy. She had a brother and two sisters, named Lajos, Julianna and Mária.  She was the youngest of the four children. She had nine half-brothers named Pál, Ádám, József, Mátyás, Antal, István, Zsigmond, Ignác and Antal.
