James was born about 1880 in Hackney, Middlesex, England.  James' father was James Munro and his mother was Agnes Blair Forsyth.  His paternal grandparents were James Munro and Elizabeth Paul; his maternal grandparents were Robert Forsyth and Agnes Blair. He had three brothers and two sisters, named David, William, Claude, Elizabeth and Agnes.  He died before 1935.
