Andrew was born on October 5th, 1897.  Andrew's father was Andrew Siman and his mother was Anna Skolnick.  His paternal grandparents were George Siman and Maria Roshan; his maternal grandparents are Mathew Skolnick and Susanna Virus. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Joseph, Rosalia, Maria, Susanna, Anna and Carolina.  He was the third youngest of the seven children.
