Ellen Ann was born in 1868 in Salford, Lancashire, UK.1   Ellen Ann's father was John MARSLAND and her mother is Jane A BRADSHAW.  Her paternal grandfather is James MARSLAND and her paternal grandmother was Charlotte HULME. She had three brothers and a sister, named James, John Alfred, Walter and Amy.  She is the oldest of the five children.
