Norman was born in 1884 in Stockport, Cheshire, UK.  Norman's father was John KITCHEN and his mother was Charlotte MARSLAND.  His maternal grandfather is James MARSLAND and his maternal grandmother was Charlotte HULME. He had a brother and five sisters, named James Albert, Beatrice Alice, Eva, Pauline, Bertha and Elizabeth.  He was the fourth oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 48 in 1932 in South Manchester, Lancashire, England.
