James Albert was born in 1888 in Stockport, Cheshire, UK.  James Albert's father was John KITCHEN and his mother was Charlotte MARSLAND.  His maternal grandfather is James MARSLAND and his maternal grandmother was Charlotte HULME. He had a brother and five sisters, named Norman, Beatrice Alice, Eva, Pauline, Bertha and Elizabeth.  He is the sixth oldest of the seven children.
