Joseph Skidmore

Joseph was born on April 12th, 1712 in Jamaica, Long Island, Queens, New York.¹ Joseph's father was Samuel Scudder and his mother was Susannah Welling. His paternal grandparents were John Skidmore and Susannah Davis; his maternal grandparents are Thomas Welling and Mary. He had five brothers and six sisters, named John, Thomas, Samuel, Andrew, Jeremiah, Susanna, Abigail, Phebe, Hannah, Patience and Elizabeth. He had three half-sisters named Susanah, Pebe and Patience. He died at the age of 71 on March 16th, 1784 in South Hempstead, Long Island, Nassau, New York.¹
