Clara Thornton

Clara was born in 1890 in Barnoldswick, Yorkshire, England.¹ Clara's father was Dick Thornton and her mother was Elizabeth Whittaker. Her paternal grandparents were James Thornton and Ellen Hartley. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Norman, Dick, Rhoda, May, Maud and Jane E. She was the second oldest of the seven children.
