James McTAGGART

James was born about 1863 in Westhoughton, Lancashire.¹ James' father was Andrew McGarvie McTaggart and his mother was Mary THOMASON. His paternal grandparents were James McTaggart and Margaret Gemmell; his maternal grandparents were Richard THOMASON and Ann Haslam. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Richard, Peter, Ann and Nancy. He was the second oldest of the five known children. He died about August 1880 in Bolton?.²
