Ann McTAGGART

Ann was born about 1861 in Halliwell and her baptism took place on February 3rd, 1861 in St Peter, Halliwell, Lancashire conducted by Curate C. Poynder.¹²

Ann's father was Andrew McGarvie McTaggart and her mother was Mary THOMASON. Her paternal grandparents were James McTaggart and Margaret Gemmell; her maternal grandparents were Richard THOMASON and Ann Haslam. She had three brothers and a sister, named James, Richard, Peter and Nancy. She was the oldest of the five known children.
