Thomas' father was George Faucett ((FAWSETT)) Jr and his mother was Hannah Scott. His paternal grandparents were George Faucett and Elizabeth Mercer. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Robert, John, Samuel, Sarah, Annie, Mary, Martha and Palatiah. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 65 in 1879.
