Alof Aarbod's father was Harald I. "Haarfanger" Yngling and her mother is Gyda Hoerdeland, ov.  Her paternal grandfather was Halfdan "the Black" Yngling and her paternal grandmother is Ragnhild Ringerike, ov. She had four brothers named Rörek, Siggtrygg, Frode and Thorgils. She had sixteen half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Guttorm, Halfdan "the Black", Sigröd, Halfdan Hvide, Björn, Ragnar Rykkil, Olaf, Sigurd Hrise, Halfdan, Gudröd Ljome, Ragnvald Rettilbein, Ring, Dag, Gudröd Skirja, Eirik I. "Blodöre", Hakon "the Good", Ingegerd and Ingeborg.  She died in 0935.
