Roman was born on June 24th, 1857 in Grabów.  Roman's father was Czeslaw Reisky z Dubnic and his mother was Eveline Laczynska.  His paternal grandfather was František Xaver Rajský z Dubnice. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Václav, Zdislav, František Xaver, Ludovika, Marie and Sylvie.  He was the second oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 51 in 1908.
