Václav was born in 1707.  Václav's father was Václav Antonín Chotek z Chotkova a Vojnína and his mother was Marie Terezie Scheidlern, von.  His paternal grandparents were Vilém Chotek z Chotkova a Vojnína and Johanna Sabina Proy von Gaiselsperg und Fildtelstein. He had two brothers named Jan Karel and Rudolf.  He was the youngest of the three children.  He died at the age of 18 in 1725 in padl, Messina, Italia.  He was buried in kostel sv. Restituta, Messina.
