Egbert was born on March 8th, 1887 in Líšeò.  Egbert's father was Ludvík Egbert Belcredi and his mother was Marie Franckenstein, von und zu.  His maternal grandparents are Georg Franckenstein, von und zu and Maria Öttingen-Wallerstein, zu. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Richard, Karel Jiøí, Jiøí Jindøich, Marie Anna "Marianne" and Anna Josefa.  He was the oldest of the six children.  He died at the age of 45 on May 5th, 1932 in Wien.
