Josefa Barbora was born in 1720.  Josefa Barbora's father was Václav Arnošt Maximilian Malovec z Chýnova and her mother is Maria Viktoria Franchimont de Franckenfeld.  Her paternal grandfather was Jan Bohuslav Malovec z Chýnova and her paternal grandmother is Anna Markéta Hrobèická z Hrobèic. She had seven brothers and six sisters, named František Václav Josef, Jáchym Ferdinand, Jan Josef, Antonín Václav, Arnošt, Arnošt Jan Kašpar, Mikuláš Antonín Josef, Markéta, Anna Kateøina, Marie Anna Františka, Anna Terezie, Magdalena and Walburga.  She died at the age of 13 in 1733.
