Rama Devi (Pinnishetty) was born in 1950.  Rama Devi (Pinnishetty)'s father was Rama Rao Pinnishetty and her mother is Janaki Devi (Sajjala) Pinnishetty.  Her maternal grandparents were Bhavanarayana  Rao Sajjala and Alivelumanga Thayaramma (Naraala) Sajjala. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Kusha Kumar, Lava Kumar, Sasidhar, Manohar (died in accident), Krishna Kumar, Uma Devi (Pinnishetty), Kshama Devi, Nagarani and Santhisree.
