Raymond's father was Raymond Larkin and his mother is Elizabeth Forbell.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas F. Larkin and Cecelia Kilroy. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, James, Jack, Joseph, Harold, William, Margaret, Helen and Rita.  He died in 1997.
