Helen's father was Raymond Larkin and her mother is Elizabeth Forbell.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas F. Larkin and Cecelia Kilroy. She had seven brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Raymond, James, Jack, Joseph, Harold, William, Margaret and Rita.  She died in 1977.
