Dezső was born in 1946. Dezső's father was Dezső Diószegi and his mother was Lídia Hegedűs. His paternal grandparents were István Diószegi and Vilma Réti; his maternal grandparents were Gyula Hegedűs and Margit Kovács. He had a brother and a sister, named István and Ibolya. He died at the age of 52 in 1998.
