Robert Shirley (7th Earl Ferrers) 
Robert was born in 1756. Robert's father was Robert Shirley (6th Earl Ferrers) and his mother was Catherine Cotton. His paternal grandparents were Hon. Laurence Shirley and Anne Clarges. He had a brother named Washington. He was the older of the two children. He died at the age of 71 in 1827.General Notes
He succeeded to the title of 13th Baronet Shirley, of Staunton Harold [E., 1611] on 17 April 1787.3 He succeeded to the title of 7th Earl Ferrers [G.B., 1711] on 17 April 1787.1 He succeeded to the title of 7th Viscount Tamworth, of co. Stafford [G.B., 1711] on 17 April 1787. He was invested as a Fellow, Society of Antiquaries (F.S.A.)
