Michael's father was Dr. Thomas D'Oyly and his mother was Anne Perott. His paternal grandparents were John D'Oyly (Sr.) and Frances Edmonds. He had a brother named Norreys.General Notes
Captain Michael D'Oyly, second son of Dr. Thomas D'Oyly, of London, went over to Ireland, settled there, and left issue a large family. Record proves him living in 1607 (5 Jac. I.), for in that year a Bill was introduced into the House of Lords for confirming an agreement between Edward Lord Bruce and him Michael D'Oyly, regarding the lands of one William Ibgrave, deceased;[497] but where those lands were situate does not appear.
