Josias was born in 1575.

Birth Notes

Josias' father was John D'Oyly (Jr.) and his mother was Ursula Cope. His paternal grandparents were John D'Oyly (Sr.) and Frances Edmonds. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Cope, John, Margery, Elizabeth, Dorcas, Mary, Anne and Priscilla. He was the second oldest of the nine children.
