John D'Oyly 
John was born in 1284. John's father was Robert D'Oyly and his mother was Christiana. His paternal grandparents were Roger D'Oyly (of Escote) and ??? Napparius. He had a brother named Richard. He was the older of the two children.General Notes
John D'Oyly, Esq. was seated at Pushull Nappa in 16 Edw. II. 1322-3, as appears by a fine levied that year between himself, plaintiff, and William atte Chambre, of Shirburne, co. Oxon, and Matilda his wife, deforciants, of tenements in Watlington and Brudewell, whereby D'Oyly purchased that property of them for the sum of forty marks. This John D'Oyly appears to have differenced his arms to "Or two bendlets gules,"[198] out of deference to his cousin Eva, the representative of his grandfather's family; but the distinction was soon after disused. John D'Oyly died s.p., for Pushull Nappa was inherited by the above
