Joane D'Oyly 
Joane was born in 1170. Joane's father was Henry D'Oyly (4th Baron Hocknorton) and her mother was Maud de Bohun. Her paternal grandparents were Robert D'Oyly (3rd Baron Hocknorton) and Edith of Greystoke (Concubine of Henry I); her maternal grandparents were Humphrey II de “The Great” Bohun (1st Baron of Trowbridge) and Mathilda d'Evreux (of Salisbury). She had two brothers and a sister, named Henry, Robert and Margaret. She was the youngest of the four children.General Notes

Joane D'Oyly, who became the first wife of Simon Fitzwalter, feudal lord of Daventry, co, Northampt., son of her step-father Walter FitzRobert, already mentioned, by his first wife Maud de Lucy. She died s.p., however, and her husband surviving, married secondly, in 1201, Sarah dau. and heiress of William de Neville of Skyrwith, co. Cumb. relict of Thomas de Burgh; by whom he was progenitor of the Barons Fitz-Walter de Paventry, who bore for arms "Or, two chevronels gules," omitting the fesse of Walter Fitz-Robert.[114]
