Hugh's father was Richard D'Oyly. His paternal grandparents were Sir Roger D'Oyly (of Escote, Baron Hocknorton) and ???. He was an only child. Hugh is no longer alive.General Notes

II. Richard D'Oyly, who held tenements in Colthorpe hamlet (near Banbury), co. Oxon., of the Bishop of Lincoln, at three shillings rent, 7 Edw. I.,[181] and was no doubt succeeded by
1. Hugh D'Oyly of Dorchester, co. Oxon., who was one of the manucaptors of William Brian, M.P. for Dorchester in 1306.[182]
