Gilbert D'Oyly

Gilbert was born in 1109 in Hook Norton.

Birth Notes

Gilbert's father was Robert D'Oyly (3rd Baron Hocknorton) and his mother was Edith of Greystoke (Concubine of Henry I). His paternal grandparents were Nigel D'Oyly (2nd Baron Hocknorton) and Agnes. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Robert, Henry, Alice and Edith. He was the second youngest of the five children. He died at the age of 28 in 1137.
