William Cecil (2nd Earl of Exeter) 
William was born in 1566. William's father was Thomas Cecil (1st Earl of Exeter) and his mother was Dorothy Neville. His paternal grandparents were William Cecil (1st Baron Burghley) and Mary Cheke; his maternal grandparents were John Neville (4th Baron Latimer) and Lady Lucy Somerset. He was an only child. He died at the age of 74 in 1640.General Notes
