Afonso II was born on April 23rd, 1185. Afonso II's father was Sancho I (King of Portugal) and his mother was Dulce of Aragon. His paternal grandparents were Sancho I (King of Portugal) and Mafalda of Savoy. He had a sister named Mafalda. He was the older of the two known children. He died at the age of 37 on March 25th, 1223.-
