Benjamin was born in 1909 in Bellaire. Benjamin's father was Abraham Movsha (Maurice) Blum and his mother was Lea (Lena) Rachel Feinberg (Niselovich). His maternal grandparents were Eliyahu Niselovich and Hana Dina Orbach. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Simon, Al, Bertha and Shirley. He was the second youngest of the five children.General Notes
