James Williams

James was born on August 26th, 1827 in Broughton (Hawarden) and his baptism took place there on October 7th, 1827.¹²

James' father was Samuel Williams and his mother was Jane Jones. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Williams and Ann Millington. He had five brothers and two sisters, named John, John, Charles, Job, William, Eliza and Mary. He was the third oldest of the eight children.

  In 1861, John and James (34 & 33), brothers, were farm labourers at Broughton. John' sister-in-law Alice (26) and two boys Richard (son of Alice?, 8 mo) and Charles (12, visitor) ware also there.
  
  Between 1851 and 1861, James had married Alice (from Middlesex) and had a son Richard (8 mo, born Hawarden).
  
  In 1881, James and Alice (from Middlesex) were at Hawarden with Richard (oldest) and 6 other children.
