Ada was born on March 29th, 1886 in Farnworth and her baptism took place on May 12th, 1886 at St. John the Evangelist (Failsworth).1  Ada's father was Henry Unsworth and her mother was Alice Lomax.  Her maternal grandparents were Benjamin Lomax and Alice Horridge. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Edward, Benjamin, Annie and Bertha.  She was the second youngest of the five children. She had two half-brothers named Frank and Harry.

‌Ada and William were married in a religious ceremony in 1913 in Little Bolton. The family line is yet to be completed.
