George Blackburn Sykes

George was born in 1835 in Newsome and his baptism took place on June 28th, 1835 in Almondbury.¹

George's father was John Blackburn and his mother was Amelia Fitton. His paternal grandparents were Michael Blackburn and Hannah Eastwood. He was an only child. He died at the age of 70 on December 8th, 1905.
