Michael's father was Michael Blackburn and his mother was Hannah Scover. He had two brothers and a sister, named Matthew, John and Mary.  He was the second oldest of the four children. He had four half-brothers and eight half-sisters, named Matthew, John, Joseph, John, Sarah, Susana, Anne, Sarah, Hanah, Mary, Sarah and Elizabeth.  He died at the age of 72 on June 10th, 1836 in Almondbury.  He was buried on June 14th, 1836 in Almondbury.^3 4
