Noah was born in 1791 in Crosland Hill and his christening took place on July 3rd, 1791 in Almondbury.¹

Noah's father was John Stocks and his mother was Sarah Gledhill . He had six brothers and five sisters, named Richard, John, Richard, Sammy, David, James, Betty, Mary, Hannah, Sarah and Phebe.  He was the fourth youngest of the twelve children.  He died at the age of 57 on February 8th, 1848 in Milnsbridge.²
