7 Nov 1771, John Stocks married Sarah Gledhill at Almondbury. All their childrend baptisms were recorded there (with some if not all at Longwood Chapel). Davids baptism confirms the mother as Sarah.
1772 to 1781 John was a mason at Berry Brow when Betty, Richard, John, Mary and Hannah were baptised (no occupation recorded for Betty's baptism).
1784 to 1799 John was a mason at Felkstile, Crosland Hill when Richard, Sarah and David baptised and son John died in 1799
In 1789, John was living at Spring Gardens, near Crosland Hill, and just West of Golcar).
In 1805, John was still at Crosland Hiill when his son James died, aged 7.
