George Stocks

George was born on May 31st, 1806 in Berry Brow and his baptism took place on June 19th, 1807 in High St. Chapel Methodist New Connexion.¹

George's father was Samuel Stocks and his mother was Sally (Sarah) Brook. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Stocks and Elizabeth Perkin. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named James, Samuel, Molly, Salomey, Ruth, Martha, Sarah, Ellen and Elizabeth. He was the seventh oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 28 on May 20th, 1835 in Berry Brow. His burial was on May 24th, 1835 in Almondbury.²³
