Thomas was born in November 1908 in Eagley.¹

Thomas' father was John Francis Spence and his mother was Emma Whitley Mather. His maternal grandparents were James Lord Mather and Fanny Whitley. He died at the age of 2 on September 12th, 1911 in Eagley. His burial was in September 1911 at Christ Church, Walmsley.¹
