Edward's father was Richard Sill and his mother was Elizabeth Audland. He had a brother and five sisters, named Richard, Elizabeth, Alice, Sarah, Mary and Rebeccah. He was the youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 92 in June 1760 in Preston-Patrick. His burial was on June 3rd, 1760 in Preston-Patrick.¹
