Ann was born on September 13th, 1812 in Saddleworth and her baptism took place there on September 13th, 1812.1  Ann's father was Noah Schofield and her mother was Mary Lees. She had five brothers and four sisters, named John, James, Charles, Wright, Joseph, Julia, Mary, Harriet and Eliza.  She was the oldest of the ten children.
