Thomas was born in 1757 in Shocklach and his christening took place there on June 26th, 1757.1  Thomas' father was Charles Phythian and his mother was Anne Falconer. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Charles, Paul, Thomas, Charles, Charles, Mary, Anne, Jane and Margaret.  He was the youngest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 50 on June 17th, 1807 in Worthenbury.2
