Nathan's father was James Bradley Miller and his mother was Emma (Emly) Aspinall Bolton.  His maternal grandparents were Richard Bolton and Maria Aspinall. He had a brother and two sisters, named Herbert, Florence and Hilda.  He was the second youngest of the four children.  He died at the age of 68 in October 1956 in Stockport.³
