In 1841, William (10) was with his parents Solomon and Betty at Eagley, Turton. There was possibly another older child that diedas William wasnt born untill 5 years after the parents marriage.
In 1871, William (39) was a manager at a Sewing Machine Factory, living next door to his father at Park Terrace, Eagley Bank, Sharples. The family had a Fanny Woodward (71), a domestic servant.
