Robert Mather

Robert was born in June 1794 in Barton upon Irwell and his baptism took place on June 29th, 1794 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Eccles).^1 2

Robert's father was Ellis (Elias) Mather and his mother was Alice Eccles. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Robert, Elias, James, Ann, Sarah, Alice, Alice and Ann.  He was the second oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 2 in December 1796 in Eccles.  He was buried on December 16th, 1796 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Eccles).³
