Richard Mather

Richard was born in March 1848 in Whitefield and his baptism took place on June 11th, 1848 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Prestwich).¹²

Birth Notes

Richard's father was Robert Mather and his mother was Alice Whitworth. His paternal grandparents were Jesse Mather and Hannah Emmerson. He had a brother and four sisters, named Jesse, Nancy, Eliza, Margaret and Mary. He was the second youngest of the six children. He had two half-sisters named Sarah and Elizabeth.
