General Notes
In 1841, Richard (20) was probably a farmer, as son of Nathian, a farmer at Blackrod. (Also a farmer when he married Jane).
1843-57 the family lived as Aspull, Blackrod (where all the childrens births registered), although in 1850, Ann's birth was registered at Adlington, Preston.
In 1845 Richard was witness to his cousin Hannah's marriage (he is the only Richard on the 1851 census from Blackrod).
In 1859, Richard was also an Inkeeper (victular) when his father Nathan died and in 1861. In 1861 he was at the "Three Crowns" at Blackrod, a victular and farmer of 22 acres.
Richard died aged 78, but 85 on headstone.
