Elizabeth was born in 1821 in Blackrod. Elizabeth's father was Nathan Mather and her mother was Alice Makinson. Her paternal grandparents were John Mather and Ann Entwistle. She had three brothers and six sisters, named John, Nathan, Richard, Ann, Mary, Alice, Ellen, Agnes and Sarah. She was the fourth youngest of the ten children.General Notes
Ann, Mary, Nathan, Alice, etc were all missing in 1841. Only Richard was with his father at Blackrod.
27 Nov 1854, Elizabeth Mather of Blackrod, daughter of Nathan Mather a Farmer married Robert Wilson, Inn Keeper at Blackrod, son of Hugh Wilson a Farmer.
